À LA PLAGE

When I sent this to a friend she said “it makes me think you actually like summer!”. My reply to her was, “This is my dream of what summer could be if I lived in Europe.”.

I’ve been a southerner almost my entire life, and the 100+ temps we have here in the summer can really take the fun of out the season. I dream of summers in a place that’s warm during the day and cool in the evenings. Where you can lay by the sea during the day, barely breaking a sweat, and wear a sweater to a beach bonfire at night.

This is my ode to the summer I wish I had. (think Mediterranean cliff-sides, spritzes, striped umbrellas, freshly shucked oysters, bronzed and sandy skin, salty hair… you get the picture?)

It’s dreamy and aspirational, and just the little escape I needed. I hope you enjoy!

Until autumn comes, a girl can dream.
