Italian Countryside Luncheon
Picture a long wooden table set in an olive grove in the Italian countryside. The table is set with natural linens, the centerpiece is made up of fresh citrus from the local farm or market, and the wine is decanted. Do you see it? That’s the vibe I was going for when I set the table for this luncheon.
My mom plays bridge with seven other women each week, and when she decided to have them over for a luncheon, she asked if I’d be interested in setting her table. When I asked her if she had a theme in mind, she said no, but that she planned to use lots of fresh herbs from her garden in each dish. That’s what sparked my inspiration.
